The Year of Jubilee

Pilgrims of Hope

St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School

The Catholic Church marked 2025 as the Jubilee Year – Pilgrims of Hope, a special year of prayer, renewal and commitment to living out our faith with deeper compassion and hope.

As a school community, we were proud to take part in this global journey. We joined thousands of other Catholic schools and parishes in reflecting on God’s mercy, celebrating our faith, and taking action to build a fairer, more hope‑filled world.

Our Jubilee Pledge

We are delighted to share that St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School is officially a Jubilee Pledge School.

This means we have committed ourselves to:

  • Walking together as Pilgrims of Hope

  • Putting Catholic Social Teaching into meaningful action

  • Showing solidarity with our global family

  • Promoting justice, peace and care for creation

  • Encouraging every child to recognise their role in building a better world

Our pledge is ongoing—our Jubilee commitment continues to shape the way we learn, pray and celebrate together.

How We Are Living Out the Jubilee at St Vincent’s

Throughout the year, our pupils and staff have taken part in a range of activities inspired by the themes of the Jubilee Year, including:

  • Acts of service and charity

  • Learning about global justice

  • Celebrating key liturgical moments connected to the Jubilee

  • Reflecting on how we can bring hope into the lives of others

  • Supporting CAFOD’s mission to ensure every person and the earth can flourish

As Pilgrims of Hope, we continue to focus on prayer, compassion and action—both locally and globally.

Continuing Our Pilgrimage of Hope

Although the Jubilee Year has concluded, its mission continues.
We remain committed to being agents of hope, compassion and justice for the world.

As Pope Francis reminds us, “A better world needs all of us.”

Together—as pupils, staff, families and parish—we continue our journey as Pilgrims of Hope
