Miss Slater's Class

Tumbling Towers

As part of our Science day (STEM day), Year 3 have been planning, sketching and building towers out of newspapers and tape. Things weren’t that easy though. The towers had to hold an orange on top of them, without falling over, for 30 seconds.

Our class produced some fantastic structures, thinking about the best shapes for the base and the walls.

Our tallest and strongest tower was produced by Joseph, Clemence and Thomas. Their tower measured a huge 83cm and could hold an orange on the top for days on end.

Well done Year 3!
