St Bede's Sports Challenge

Only a few weeks into the new School year and St. Vincent's are celebrating winning their first trophies of the year!  Two teams made up of Year 5 girls and boys travelled into Manchester to participate in the annual St. Bede's sport's challenge on Friday afternoon.  

The football team and netball team both played superbly throughout, showing an excellent attitude on and off the pitch and a thirst to try their best.  In the end, both teams returned with the winning trophies and the shield for overall winners.  

Mrs Farrell was quoted as saying that the afternoon was "The best send off" she could have as she finishes at St. Vincent's and prepares to have a baby.   Mrs Lindsey said that it was the best tournament she had ever been involved in.

A big thank you to St. Bede's for being wonderful hosts and well done to all of the children participating in what turned out to be a very friendly and enjoyable event.
